Jennifer's story
I've loved Moreno Valley since I was brought here as a child in 1986. I chose to make my home here and raise my own children here. I'm a proud graduate of MVUSD myself.
For over a decade I've volunteered in our schools as a classroom helper, as a Booster Club President, and in seats on school site council and district community advisory council. In 2025, I was honored with an inaugural MVUSD Shine Award for that volunteer work.
My three children have very different educational needs. Together we've experienced Special Education classrooms, GATE classrooms, speech therapy, occupational therapy, mental health services, bus transportation, and more. We've been through preschool, elementary school, middle school, and now high school in this district. Eleven years in, I've seen a lot of what MVUSD has to offer.
I've seen what's working, and what needs work.
I don't get my information only from district reports and administrators. I know what's really happening because my family has lived it. — Jennifer Grisham
